Please note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old,scanned/stapled
and should not be used in any of the previous visas

Covering-Letter: Covering Letter from applicant on business letter head
mentioning name, designation,passport number, purpose and duration of visit
in brief. The letter should be duly signed by authorized signatory with
company stamp and addressed to – Consulate General of Italy, Mumbai
Please Note :
a) Post visa processing, VFS will courier the passport directly to the
applicant at an additional cost of Rs 323. Therefore, it is mandate to mention
the complete dispatch address on the covering-letter.
b) Covering Letter on Letterhead if applicant is Self
Employed or on plain paper if Employed .

For Minors - In case of Minor traveling with any one parent or with a third
party: Affidavit from the parents stating that he/she has no objection to the
travel of the minor. The affidavit has to be notarized and legalized by the
competent Home Department of the State of Residence. The parent/s resident in
Italy can make a similar self-declaration with a copy of his/her stay permit
and passport.
In case of Minor traveling with both the parents: Affidavit of consent is not
required, provided that the names of both parents appear on the said minor''s
passport.

Proof of Accommodation : Hotel confirmation for the entire period of
stay in Schengen area.
Please Note: Hotel should match the ticket dates and maximum stay should be

In case invited by a contact in Italy, please provide Lettera di invito (letter of invitation)

Airline Reservation : Ticket Itinerary
Please Note: The travel date mentioned on ticket itinerary should be minimum
10 days after submission of application.

Medical : Original Medical Insurance for the stay duration amounting
to 30,000 Euros duly signed and stamped by the insurance company.(Please
Note: Policy should for minimum 15 days.)

a) Insurance has to be done by the Authorized Insurance Companies
b) Minimum 10 days insurance is mandatory from the travel date.

Address Proof: Proof of residence is required only for those
applicants who are not resident in Mumbai Jurisdiction.Kindly note that the
proof of residence should be for more than one year to be qualified to apply
in the West and South region in India.
Mandatory Documents:
a) Letter on company letterhead specifying the period he/she has been working
with them.
b) Lease agreement (letter from company,if accommodation provided by the
company).
c) Bank statement and letter from bank specifying the period since when the
account is operating.
d) Electricity Bill,Telephone Bill and Gas Bills
Additional Documents:
a) Pan Card and Income tax challans or Form 16A.
b) Ration card or Election card or Aadhaar card.

letter authorizing Overseas Visa Consultancy to submit and collect documents

New Procedure for Schengen Visa Applications: With immediate effect,
Indian citizens travelling to Schengen countries for short-term (max 90 days
in 180 days) will have to visit VFS visa application centre personally to
provide biometric data (fingerprints and digital photograph). For subsequent
applications within next 5 years the biometric data will be copied from the
previous visa application included in the VIS.
